Bro Daddy breaks records, becomes the biggest opening on Disney+Hotstar

Mohanlal-Prithviraj starrer Bro Daddy breaks the records of Disney+Hotstar. The comedy family drama became the biggest opening on the OTT platform, with the highest first day subscription across all languages and second highest watchtime on the first day.

Director-actor Prithviraj took to Instagram to announce the news and shared a poster of the film. “@brodaddymovie movie breaks records on @disneyplushotstar Thank you!,” he wrote as his caption. The actor also tagged actor Mohanlal and production company Aashirvad Cinemas in his caption to share the happiness.

Fans and wellwishers complimented the team on the comment session and expressed their happiness as well. Many of them also opined that the movie was entertaining and humorous. Bro Daddy was released on the OTT platform on January 26, 2022.

The comedy drama features an interesting group of cast including the stellar duo Kalyani Priyadarshan, Meena, Kaniha, Lalu Alex, Soubin Shahir, Mallika Sukumaran and Unni Mukundan. The movie was a talk of the town ever since its announcement due to various reasons. The fact that Prithviraj was donning the director’s hat after the hit movie Lucifer was the major reason people were excited for the film.

His debut directorial also starred Mohanlal, just like Bro Daddy. Both the movies turned out to be superhits. Bro Daddy is backed by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The songs and background tracks are composed by Deepak Dev while the cinematography is handled by Abinandhan Ramanujan.
