The film Bro Daddy has created a buzz in Mollywood ever since its announcement, especially since Prithviraj mentioned directing two of his favourite people, actor Mohanlal and his mother Mallika Sukumaran in the film. And now, the versatile actor-filmmaker has announced the wrap up of his second directorial Bro Daddy.
Prithviraj had posted a photograph from the sets of the film on his Instagram handle, which also features Malayalees’ beloved Lalettan in the frame, albeit a bit blurred. In the caption for the post, Prithviraj signals the end of his second directorial venture and especially thanks Mohanlal, whom he calls a 'joy to watch on camera'. In addition, he also thanks filmmaker Antony Perumbavoor for having faith in him. The star also shared the same picture in his Instagram story mentioning how it was the 44th day of the shoot.
Talking about the film, Prithviraj had earlier shared with ToI that it was a ‘happy’ film, one that would definitely make audiences smile. The fun family drama will see the actor share the screen with Mohanlal and other Mollywood heavyweights such as Meena, Lalu Alex, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Murali Gopi and Kaniha. The actor will also be seen with and directing his mother, actress Mallika Sukumaran in the upcoming film.
Bro Daddy marks Prithviraj’s second stint in the director’s chair after the 2019 film Lucifer, which also starred Mohanlal as the titular lead. His directorial debut had gone on to become one of the highest-grossing Malayalam movies as of today.
The film Bro Daddy is reportedly scheduled to be released by the end of this year.
