Broken But Beautiful 3: Sidharth Shukla channels Kabir Singh in show's teaser

The teaser of AltBalaji’s upcoming show Broken But Beautiful 3 featuring Sidharth Shukla and Sonia Rathee in the lead role, was unveiled recently. The one-minute clip portrays the couple’s highest and lowest points, all in one.

It takes you back to the time of Kabir Singh, when Shahid Kapoor loved and got hurt immensely. Like Kabir, even Agasthya Rao (Sidharth) takes to liquor and smoking, to try getting rid of the pain.

Agasthya and Rumi Desai (Sonia) explain their definition of love in the teaser. Agasthya calls it ‘a glamourized four-letter word for self-inflicted pain.’ Rumi, on the other hand, explains that she chased all her life, only to realize it isn’t something she needs.

While the viewers saw their lowest points so far, they then get a glimpse of the times the couple fell in love. It shows how they felt complete around one another, till the narrator questions, ‘Aisa kya toot sakta hai do logon ke beech, ki tukde bhi na mile (How could two lovers break to the extent that pieces of their heart are also not found?)’

The makers had previously revealed Agasthya and Rumi’s posters from the show.

Broken But Beautiful 3 revolves around aspiring director Agasthya, who falls in love with his muse Rumi. The irony is that she is from a world that he hates.

The show is expected to have a concept based on its tagline “obsession never ends, but rather shifts”. Broken But Beautiful 3 is also expected to show how it is more difficult to fall out of love, than in love.

AltBalaji had also released a ‘pre-teaser’ on May 12, in which they got Harleen Sethi to introduce the ‘next Broken But Beautiful couple’ Rumi and Agasthya. Harleen promised that their story would be as relatable as Veer and Sameera’s from the previous seasons.

The clip also shared the release date for the show, which will start streaming on AltBalaji and MX Player from May 29.
