In her new documentary titled Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields, Hollywood actor and former supermodel Brooke Shields has claimed that she was raped as as young actress. The documentary premiered on the second day of the ongoing 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

After receiving fame as a teenager, Brooke found it hard to find acting assignments after college. Once she graduated from Princeton, the former supermodel met a man that she knew for what she thought was an acting assignment. The man, who she did not name, took Brooke to his hotel room on the pretext of calling her a cab. Instead, he went to the bathroom and came out naked. According to the actress, he then assaulted her. Brooke said that she froze and didn't fight much. "I thought that my one 'no' should have been enough. And I just thought 'stay alive and get out," she said in the documentary.

Brooke added that she called her friend and security head Gavin de Becker after the incident, and he is the one who told her that what happened was rape. The actress refused to believe it at the time and had not spoken about it till now.

Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields will release on Hulu in two parts. The first part has other shocking revelations by the actress, such as being a part of a provocative nude photoshoot at the age of 10 and playing a child prostitute at the age of 11 in the film Pretty Baby.

There is also a mention of the films The Blue Lagoon and Endless Love, and the controversial Calvin Klein jeans commercials that she starred in.

Also chronicled in the film are the media's obsession with her virginity, her first marriage to tennis star Andre Agassi, and her mother's alcoholism.
