Brooklyn Nine Nine is ready for its farewell season and the makers have released a trailer for the same. With some of television's most beloved cops getting ready for one last ride, the fans are now eagerly waiting for the final season.
The new trailer for season 8 is filled with snippets from the show, which is as hilarious and adorable as always. Picking up from where it left off at season 7, the Andy Samberg series promises to be a treat.
The trailer featured fan favourites and show regulars like Samberg as Jake Peralta, Joe Lo Trugilo as Charles Boyle, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Andre Braugher as Raymond Holt, Stephanie Beatriz as Roza and Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords.
The trailer starts off with Charles reflecting on some of the good times he has had with Jake and about his dreams of fighting crime at 70 and then cuts to flashbacks from the show that are sure to make fans shed a tear or two.
Another scene from the trailer shows Jake and Amy as new parents. Fans are eager to watch the adorable couple, as they have not quite seemed to have figured out the parenting game.
The trailer also gave glimpses of some of the most iconic characters from the show return, like Chelsea Peretti’s Gina Linetti, Jason Matnzoukas’ Adrian Pimento and Craig Robinson’s Doug Judy.
The first season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine aired on Fox in 2013, and the network decided to cancel the show after five seasons. Following an uproar on social media including campaigns to save the show, NBC decided to take over the show within 24 hours.
The final season of the show will premiere on August 12 on NBC.
