Ever since BTS went on hiatus to prepare for their mandatory military service, they also created their individual Instagram accounts in late 2021. The maknae, Jungkook, quickly went on to be a legend with his original username, @abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz - becoming a viral hit among ARMY. However, on February 28, 2022, fans were surprised to find Jungkook's Instagram account nowhere to be found, and it was later confirmed that he officially deactivated it.

According to Google, Jungkook's account had a little over 52 million followers and 87 posts when it was deactivated. He then joined TikTok, but also stated in one of his livestreams that he wouldn't return to the photosharing app. Now, giving ARMY a reason to cheer, he opened an account on Instagram, but for his dog, Bam.

Initially, fans were unsure if it was his account, but Jungkook took to Weverse and confirmed that it was indeed his dog's account. He wrote, "I can't brag about myself now, so I should brag about my baby. I hope you have a great night Bowwow_bam. Unity!!!!!!!!!"

The handle's name was Bam's dad, and the description had read, "Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark Bark..." a few more times. However, he has now changed the description to "Have a good BAM" along with a profile photo of him and his dog smiling.

Soon enough, fans started flooding other social media platforms to inform the ARMY about the new development and to start following the account which already has 7 posts of the dog including a reel. It has already crossed more than 500K followers in hardly a few hours.

Where is Jungkook?

Just like his bandmates Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, and Kim Taehyung, the youngest member of BTS, Jungkook, is also enlisted in the South Korean mandatory military service. His anticipated discharge is in June 2025, likely on June 11 of next year. The entire group has already planned a comeback for the following year when all seven members will reunite.

Jungkook is also active on TikTok, where he posted dance covers before enlistment and now likes videos of whatever he finds funny online.
