Just as fans were eagerly anticipating, HYBE Music released a short film for BTS' V's upcoming single, 'FRI(END)S', stirring up even more excitement. The song is scheduled for release on March 15, 2024, and in the buildup to the highly anticipated day, Kim Taehyung's agency has been deliberately providing minimal clues, leaving fans to speculate.

The short film features a variety of objects, including newspapers, cloth, puzzles, cards, plates, an apple and more, with the only consistent element being the word "FRIENDS." However, it intriguingly depicts the letters "F," "R," "I," and "S" disappearing, leaving only the word "END" remaining. However, on the apple, there was one extra word - 'DEAD'.

Subsequently, ARMY took to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to express their excitement and pose questions about the mysterious teaser.

About FRI(END)S:

According to K-media reports, the upcoming single is said to feature lyrics entirely in English. Songwriter Riley McDonough shared the news of the song on his Instagram, confirming his role as a co-writer.

Additionally, V is set to host a pink-themed release party for fans who hold membership. "We cordially invite our dear BTS OFFICIAL FANCLUB ARMY MEMBERSHIP holders to a special space to celebrate the release of V's digital single 'FRI(END)S.' The 'FRI(END)S PARTY' will offer various enjoyable activities, including booths, exhibitions, and special gifts, making it a delightful day for ARMY."

In line with the song's concept, the event centres around the theme of pink, and chosen attendees have been asked to wear pink attire. 600 ARMYs with Weverse membership will have the opportunity to attend the event after being selected through a raffle. The event will be conducted in 10 sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, with a maximum of 60 fans participating in each session.

Where is V?

Taehyung, along with his bandmates RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, Suga, and J-Hope, are fulfilling their obligation of enlisting in the South Korean mandatory military service.

His enlistment is scheduled to conclude on June 10, 2025, coinciding with the anticipated comeback of him and his bandmates.
