Buried Hearts is coming to an end with Park Hyung-sik’s Dongju finally getting the revenge he sought-after since being left for the dead after the massive betrayal by Daesan group managers. He lost his only family member, his lover was married off elsewhere and Dongju barely came back alive, only to be tortured till the brink of death, time-and-again. We have finally moved past the loop and Dongju is back in control for the semi-finale episode of Buried Hearts.
Ildo (Lee Hae-young), who was responsible for killing Dongju time-and-again, is dead, and the lead antagonist Yeom Jangseon (Heo Jun-ho) is exposed. Now, Dongju (Park Hyung-sik) has made his next move. He is here to confront Deokhee (Kim Jung-nan) in her house and strike a deal. Here's how it went...
Dongju is in Deokhee's house, demanding to meet her for a chat despite his intentions (watch Gaus Electronics for reference). Their first conversation is about Donju expressing his desire to kill her for controlling Daesan and Eunnam (Hong Hwa-yeon)'s life, but not willing to get into that conversation, Dongju rather offers becoming CEO of Daesan Energy. We bet the storyline reminds you of Unlock My Boss, where the CEO of a tech firm has to rely on a young stranger.
Dongju threatens that Taeyoon (Yoon Sang-yeon)'s future depends on her decision. Although she believes he came to ask for a favour, Dongju clarifies that she should rely on him, or Taeyoon's future would be unstable.
Dongju is finally getting revenge for all the wrong he had to put up with during his time with Daesan. With the series' finale coming close, where do you think the story will head? Do let us know.
