Kim Min-kyu, the adorable secretary in the popular K-drama Business Proposal, is flaunting his new military buzzcut. The actor will be enlisting in the military on April 1, and ahead of the mandatory service, he bid adieu to his fans with a cheerful social media post. A month ago, his agency confirmed his military service in April, and Kim Min-kyu has shared multiple pictures as he flaunted the new look.

In the pictures shared on Instagram, Kim Min-kyu is flashing a bright smile with his cute dimples as he poses with his buzzcut. The Queen: Love and War actor looked dashing in a black t-shirt paired with black pants and a jacket. He even saluted as a soldier in the new pictures. “I'll be back safely,” he captioned in Korean.

Kim Min-kyu kickstarted his military service in a private ceremony held on April 1. The dedicated soldier received messages from fans wishing him a safe and healthy journey during his enlistment.
Several fans wished Kim Min-kyu a safe and healthy service with heartfelt comments. One fan wrote, “Fighting! Take care of yourself, eat well, and sleep well. Hope your military service is going to be smooth.” Another commented on his dimples, “Still the dimples shine.”
Meanwhile, Min-kyu's representatives requested fans to maintain his privacy while wishing him health on the journey. In a statement released, they said - “Actor Kim Min-kyu will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army on April 1. No official events will be held on the day he enters the recruit training center.”
For the unversed, South Korean law requires every male citizen (between the age of 18 to 35) to perform mandatory military service. Even actors and K-pop idols are required to serve the compulsory service. Currently, all seven BTS members are also enlisted in the military and will be discharged in June 2024–25.
