Those who've followed Anupama Parameswaran keenly since the beginning will always know her penchant for singing. Though untrained, she is a natural with music and her brief videos on Instagram had caught the fascination of music buffs long ago. It was always going to be a matter of time before she made her singing debut officially.
The actress has finally bit the bullet with her next film Butterfly, where she's turning a singer. The number titled All the Ladies, lyricised by Anantha Sriram was launched commemorating Women's Day. Choreographed by Sashi Master, the song is composed by Arviz. Shot more like a promotional video, the song is a plea to not take women for granted and brush her identity under the carpet.
'All the ladies..Raise your hands and high five dediye..Evvarapina..Emi Jarigina..Assalagaka..Fly high..,' the number starts off and the launch on Women's Day couldn't have been timed better. Anupama Parameswaran doesn't at all come across as an amateur in terms of her singing and the texture of her voice is a delight to hear. Anantha Sriram's versatility continues to surprise us.
The ode to the likes of Sarojini Naidu, MS Subbulakshmi, Indira Gandhi in the video shows that it is a job done well. Butterfly is written and directed by Ghanta Satish Babu, an associate for films like Brahmotsavam, Shatamanam Bhavathi, Middle Class Abbayi. The teaser of the thriller was unveiled recently. The film is produced by Ravi Prakash Bodapati, Prasad Tiruvalluri and Pradeep Nallimelli under Gen’Next Movies and also stars Nihal Kodhaty, Bhumika Chawla. Sameer Reddy is the cinematographer of the film that's edited by Madhu.
