Butterfly OTT release date: When and where to watch Anupama Parameswaran, Nihal Kodhaty's thriller

Actress Anupama Parameswaran, who starred in three theatrical releases this year - Rowdy Boys, Ante Sundaraniki and Karthikeya 2, will end 2022 with two other films - 18 Pages and Butterfly. While 18 Pages hits screens on December 23, Butterfly will have a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. For the uninitiated, Butterfly is a thriller, written and directed by first-time filmmaker Ghanta Satish Babu. The film will premiere on the streamer on December 29.

The trailer of Butterfly was unveiled by the team earlier this week. In the film, a group of children are in danger from kidnappers; the latter refuse to release them despite a monetary negotiation. Anupama Parameswaran takes it upon herself to save the kids and she realises that she has very little time on hand. Rao Ramesh and Bhumika Chawla are cast as lawyers in the thriller that also features Nihal Kodhaty, Praveen and others. The glimpse promises an edge-of-the-seat experience to viewers.

With cinematography by Sameer Reddy, the film is edited by Madhu. Arviz and Gideon Katta have scored the music for the film, with tracks rendered by KS Chitra and Rahul Sipligunj. Anupama Parameswaran has also crooned for a number titled All The Ladies, released earlier this year. Anantha Sriram is the sole lyricist for the album while Dakshin Srinivass is the dialogue writer. The crew also comprises Vijay Makkena, the art director and Narayana, the executive producer. 

Ravi Prakash Bodapati, Prasad Tiruvalluri, Pradeep Nallimelli have bankrolled the film under Gen’nexT Movies. The banner has earlier produced Charmme Kaur's horror-thriller Mantra and will release another film titled The Story of a Beautiful Girl in theatres shortly.
