Actress Anupama Parameswaran has mustered the courage to spearhead a film on her shoulders after a series of impressive performances over the last few years. She will next be seen in a thriller titled Butterfly, a Telugu film written and directed by first-time filmmaker Ghanta Satish Babu, who worked as an associate for several popular films like Brahmotsavam, Shatamanam Bhavathi, Middle Class Abbayi in the past. The teaser of the film was released earlier today.
The barely 40-second long teaser wins your attention instantly with a few slickly-edited glimpses from the film where it's apparent that Anupama Parameswaran's character is in for some serious trouble. The lines “Don’t believe your eyes, Don’t believe your brain, Then… What to believe?” flash through the teaser, hinting that Anupama is dealing with a problem that's more psychological.
The film promises to be a riveting thriller set amidst an apartment where Anupama resides and how she bails herself out of trouble. After a disappointing outing like Rowdy Boys earlier this year, Butterfly marks Anupama's return to form. There's no better time than now for the actress to try her hand at new-age stories and carve a niche for herself. As far as Butterfly, this glimpse sets the tone for the promotional campaign quite well.
Butterfly is jointly produced by Ravi Prakash Bodapati, Prasad Tiruvalluri and Pradeep Nallimelli under Gen’Next Movies. The film also features Nihal Kodhaty, Bhumika Chawla in pivotal roles and has cinematography by the very renowned Sameer Reddy. Butterfly is edited by Madhu and has music by Arviz and Gideon Katta. Anantha Sriram has penned the lyrics for all the songs.
