Disney+Hotstar is currently looking to bring in more Telugu content in the form of Telugu originals which include web series and movies. Superstar Ram Charan has now been roped in by the digital platform as the brand ambassador of their platform. He will represent them to attract the Telugu audiences.

According to Gulte, Ram Charan is gearing up to join hands with Disney+Hotstar as the brand ambassador of the OTT platform. The Telugu superstar is supposedly charging a fee of Rs. 3 crore to represent the digital platform in a couple of advertisements - both print and video. The deal between both the parties is expected to last a whole year.

Similar to the Telugu OTT platform Aha where Allu Arjun and Vijay Devarakonda were roped in to represent the platform, folks at Disney+Hotstar believe that by roping in the superstar, the Telugu audiences will subscribe to the platform.

With focusing on bringing out more Telugu original series and movies, Disney+Hotstar believe that they will gather subscribers, especially during the advent of RRR’s release. The upcoming Ram Charan’s magnum opus will also be the time where we get to see the Telugu superstar’s stint as the brand ambassador for the platform. With time, we will come to know if this marketing strategy of Disney+Hotstar proves to be fruitful.

Talking about the much-awaited mammoth project RRR, the film is in the post-production stage. It is slated to release in October.

The official social media page of the movie announced that they will not give a confirmed release date till closer to the release. The decision comes owing to the possible indefinite closing of theatres. They have assured the fans of releasing the movie once the world cinema markets are up and running.
