The makers of popular Television comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show have decided to take the show off air for some time and the reason is its host Kapil Sharma himself. Now, before you jump to conclusions, its not because of any new controversies of Kapil, but because of his unavailability to shoot for the upcoming episodes.

Why is Kapil Sharma not available to shoot his own show, you ask? Well, it's because the comedian-turned-actor's upcoming USA tour. Multiple reports doing the rounds suggest that Kapil has a month long tour planned in the US and Canada beginning from sthe second week of June this year and hence will not be available to shoot for any new episodes for that duration. Kapil had also tweeted on March 22 announcing his US-Canada Tour 2022.

Considering the popularity of the show's host, the makers have decided to temporarily take the show off air and give it a break. However, it has also been reported that Kapil will apparently pre-record a few episodes so that his fans continue to be entertained before the show goes off air for a brief period of time.

Reportedly, this time the show will go off air only for a brief period of time, spanning a few weeks, unlike back in January 2021 when Kapil had taken about a six month hiatus after embracing fatherhood for the second time. He returned on the small screens in June 2021 with The Kapil Sharma Show and even had his own stand up special titled I'm Not Done Yet which recently released on Netflix.

On the work front, it seems Kapil isn't done yet with his acting stint too. He's currently trying to balance his commitment to The Kapil Sharma Show on one hand and also gearing up for his comeback in Bollywoord with Nandita Das's directorial. The director had announced back in February this year that Kapil Sharma will be seen in a never before seen avatar of a food delivery rider in the film which will also star Shahana Goswami as the female lead.

For the unversed, Kapil had made his acting debut in the year 2015 with the film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon which is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. His last film Firangi released in 2017. Meanwhile, you can watch all the episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony Liv, while waiting for Kapil to be back and resume shooting for new episodes.
