Moviegoers got exciting news when the news about a sequel to the 1993 hit, Gentleman, was confirmed. The latest buzz surrounding the movie is about Nayanthara taking the role of the female lead.
According to reports, Nayanthara is in talks with the makers of the movie to play the female lead in the sequel. While there is still no confirmation about the news, the makers are reportedly in the process of selecting the cast and crew of the project.
Producer Kunjumon, who directed the 1993 hit is bankrolling the sequel as well. He has already revealed that hit music director M. M. Keeravani will compose the music for Gentleman 2.
Keeravani has previously impressed with his work in movies such as Magadheera, Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. He is also the music director for S.S. Rajamouli’s highly anticipated movie, RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
Gentleman, which stars Arjun Sarja and Madhubala in the lead, marked the directorial debut of ace filmmaker S. Shankar. The heist thriller follows a businessman in Madras, who moonlights as a thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor.
Nayanthara, who is also known as the “Lady Superstar” in the South Indian industry, was last seen in Annaatthe starring Rajinikanth. The actor is a busy bee and has a long list of movies in her kitty.
Nayanthara is working on Gold, co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and directed by Alphonse Puthren. She will reunite with Puthren for a second film, Paattu, co-starring Fahadh Faasil.
She is also awaiting the release of Vignesh Shivan’s romantic comedy, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
