BWF Junior World Championships Final: Where to watch Sankar Muthusamy's gold medal match vs Kuo Kuan-Lin

Looking to get India's second gold medal at the BWF Junior World Championships 2022, India's Sankar Muthusamy will be facing Kuo Kuan-Lin of Chinese Taipei in the Final.

The Indian shuttler had defeated Thailand's Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul in straight games (21-13, 21-15) to advance to the final. The semifinal lasted for 40 minutes. 

Overall, Sankar will be the third Indian shuttler to play the singles final in the last 14 years. Saina Nehwal had gone on to win gold in 2008 while Siril Verma lost the final against Chinese Taipei's Chia Hung Lu in 2015.

The 18-year-old became only the 10th Indian to win a medal at the junior badminton world championships with Lakshya Sen being the last Indian to win a medal (bronze) in the event in 2018.

Saina Nehwal had reached the final twice (2006 and 2008) while Aparna Popat was the other Indian to reach the final in 1996.

Overall, India has one gold, three silver, and five bronze medals in the history of the event.

Talking about Sankar's opponent, Kuo Kuan-Lin had outlasted South Korea's Kim Byung-Jae 16-21, 21-10, 21-18 in the second semifinal.
