Byomkesh O Durgo Rohoshyo: Satyam Bhattacharya to play Manilal

It was long known that Dev will play Byomkesh in the film Byomkesh O Durga Rahasya, directed by Birsa Dasgupta. The first look of Dev as Byomkesh was dropped during the official poster release. In a coat and large black-framed glasses, Dev is seen tackling a snake. It was also reported that Ambarish Bhattacharya will be seen as the sleuth’s friend and assistant, Ajit. 

The film Subho Maharat took place recently. The technicians and artists shared the news on social media and said the shooting had started. It is now revealed that Rukmini Maitra will play Satyabati. Satyam Bhattacharya will also be in the film as one of the key characters, Manilal.

Satyam became known for the film Ballabhpurer Rupkotha. He will appear in the film Roktobeej, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay. Meanwhile, he has paired up again with Debraj Bhattacharya for a new thriller. 

Satyam posted on social media about the film where he said, “New film, new house, new co-actors, and some old faces. I left assisting Birsa Da long back. Now we will work again. This time I will be an actor. The shooting will start. Bless me.”

Birsa offered this role to Satyam, who is overjoyed to again work with the director. The shooting will take place in Kolkata, its suburbs, and Madhya Pradesh.
