Cab Stories to premiere on Spark OTT on May 28

VN Rajesh’s Cab Stories, expected to be a full-on entertainer, is all set to be the second release on Ram Gopal Verma’s OTT platform named Spark OTT. A recent poster released by the makers of the film revealed that the movie will release on May 28.

This Telugu movie stars Bigg Boss alum Divi Vadthya along with Giridhar, Dhanraj, Praveen, Srihan and Siri in lead roles. The movie reportedly revolves around four people travelling together in a cab and the problems that they face during their journey.

Previously, a song from the same movie was released, which was claimed to be the first song in India to be made using the Unreal Engine technology.

Spark OTT was launched on May 15 with Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial D Company. The film is produced by Sagar Manchanuru - who is also the CEO of Spark OTT - under the banner of Spark Productions.

D Company is based on the events in the life of Dawood Ibrahim from 1980 to 1982. The movie was scheduled for a theatrical release in March but this plan got delayed due to the pandemic.

Ram Gopal Verma, elaborating on his first step into the digital world in an interview, said that soon, more than 80 per cent Bollywood movies will be released on OTT platforms since they give more power and flexibility to the audience.
