Ronit Roy has been winning hearts with his characters in films and shows for the past two decades. From Kasauti Zindagi Key’s Mr Bajaj, Udaan’s strict father Bhairav Singh to Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain’s dashing Rohit Mehra, he has been loved on the TV, films and the digital space alike. The actor is back on OTT space with an upcoming suspense-thriller show called Candy. The Ashish R Shukla directorial web-series also stars Richa Chadha in the lead role.
According to TellyChakkar.com, Ronit revealed that his character is quite hatke in the show and something that he has never played before. The actor also mentioned that the fans will be surprised and will surely love his character.
The intriguing trailer of the forthcoming show dropped last week, which shows that the story is set in Rudrakund, a small village in north India. The latest clip glimpses on the serial killings happening in small town and while some thought it’s due to the drug overdose, a few opined that a demon named Masaan is doing the sinister work. Ronit plays the character of a teacher, while Richa’s DSP Ratna Sankhawar can be seen taking the charge as the investigation officer of the ongoing crimes.
Recently, Roy retweeted a post of Voot Select, which shared a new intriguing clip from the show and captioned, “Are they trapped in the darkness of the candy, or is there still hope? Find out on 8th September with #CandyOnVoot. #UnwrapTheSin (sic).”
