Candy teaser: Ronit Roy and Richa Chadha team up to hunt down a serial killer in Voot Select series

After Inside Edge, Richa Chadha is all set for her next web series which is of the suspense thriller genre. Titled Candy, the series is Voot Select original and co-stars Ronit Roy in the lead role. The teaser for the series is out now and in 55 seconds, the makers gave an idea about a heinous person who kills off people by offering them candy. The tagline of the series is 'unwrap the sin'.

In the teaser, Ronit's character as a teacher is seen hunting for a serial killer and takes the case very personally. But his efforts are not resulted fruitfully thus Richa as a cop steps in and joins Roy. They both go on a searching spree of this dangerous person who is the parallel killing people brutally. Moreover, there's also a drug cartel shown as a part of the plot.

The makers have described Candy as an 'amalgamation of suspense, fear, hope, politics, ambition, murder mystery and a lot more.'

The web series is directed by Ashish R Shukla and produced by Optimystix Entertainment. The streaming date for Candy is yet to be announced by Voot and the makers.

The series also features Manu Rishi Chadha, Gopal Datt Tiwari, Nakul Roshan Sahdev and Ridhhi Kumar in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Richa is not new to the digital space. She made her OTT debut with Inside Edge streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The series is touted to be the first web series in India. 

The actor has also been a part of Cabaret, Ghoomketu, Lahore Confidential, One Mic Stand to name a few. She also starred in short films - one in anthology Unpaused and the other titled 55 km/sec.

Talking about Ronit, his web series outing include Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain co-starring Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli streaming on ALTBalaji. He also played the lead role in Disney+ Hotstar original series Hostages.
