Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dons a pink gown to a screening of Armageddon Time on the second day of the Cannes Film Festival.

Gaurav Gupta wanted to create something unique for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan because she is attending the Cannes Film Festival for the 20th time. After everything that the world has been through in recent years, Aishwarya's gown makes a point of faith, birth and beauty.
Gaurav told news agency PTI, “We wanted something which denotes hope, birth and beauty. After all the world has gone through in the past few years, we wanted to celebrate life and art.”
The designer also explained that the gown was his version of the renowned artwork Birth of Venus by Italian painter Sandro Botticelli.
The outfit had a curved shell behind Aishwarya's head, representing Venus emerging from its scalloped shell.
He further stated that Aishwarya was involved in the entire creative process right from the start. The designer also claimed that it took about 20 days and 100 artisans to manufacture the dress for Aishwarya, who he described as "one of the most beautiful women in the world" .
Gaurav also mentioned Aishwarya's fame during the Cannes Film Festival, saying that people were passionate about her since Aishwarya receives affection from all around the world. "People couldn't stop screaming her name, and the fanfare was insane," the designer said.
Aishwarya looked stunning in a pink gown with a mermaid silhouette and a shell form pattern on the shoulder. In this dress, the actress looks gorgeous. The actor has represented the label L'Oreal at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, attending the premiere of Armageddon Time.
