Can't wait to watch Cobra, says Suresh Raina on Irfan Pathan's acting debut

The trailer of Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming film, Cobra, was released yesterday at a grand event in Chennai. In the trailer, Vikram is seen effortlessly straddling multiple avatars, and it has won the hearts of the actor's fans. The trailer also gives a glimpse of former cricketer Irfan Pathan, who plays an Interpol officer in the film. Sharing the trailer on his social media handle, cricketer Suresh Raina stated that he was extremely happy for Irfan and wished him huge success. 

Raina wrote on his social media page, "So happy for you brother @IrfanPathan to watch you perform in #Cobra. This looks like a complete action packed film, wishing you & entire cast huge success on this. Can’t wait to watch this one 🤗 🙌 (sic)." Pathan, in his reply, thanked his former colleague and wrote, "Thank you mere bhai 🤗. Lots of love to you and family ❤️ (sic)."

Calling Pathan, a true allrounder, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, too, wished him on his social media page, "A true all-rounder by all means @IrfanPathan 🏏🎥Hats off to you!! All the very best to you, @chiyaan and the entire cast and crew of #Cobra (sic)."

The film is said to be an action-packed entertainer that has Vikram playing a mathematician, who goes on to commit some high-profile crimes. Cobra has an ensemble cast, including Srinidhi Shetty, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govind, Roshan Mathew, Mamu Koya, Kaniha, Padmapriya to name a few. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. While the cinematography is by Harish Kannan,editing is by John Abraham.

The team is currently on a south India tour. After promoting the film in Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Chennai, the team has now reached Kochi. They will also be promoting the film in Bangalore and Chennai. Cobra is gearing up for worldwide release on August 31.
