Captain Miller has been receiving rave reviews from across south states and, without any doubt, has emerged as the Pongal winner of 2024. The cast members of the film have been on cloud nine over the success of the film and have been expressing their gratitude over the film’s success. The latest to join the bandwagon is Captain Miller co-star Sundeep Kishan. The Family Man-fame actor took to his social media handles to pen a note of gratitude over the success of the film and also shared a few BTS footage from the Dhanush-starrer.
The actor, who plays the role of Captain Rafiq, thanked the audience for making the film a massive success and for pouring ‘immense love’. In one of the BTS footage, the actor can be seen shooting for an intense action sequence amid huge smoke. The shots have been receiving a lot of love from audiences, who hailed the actor’s performance in the film.
Captain Miller makes strong numbers in Pongal weekend
The Pongal holidays have been an added advantage for many South films and Dhanush’s Captain Miller equally got to cash in on the festive season. The film, which opened with an impressive ₹ 8.5 crore, has managed to mint approximately ₹ 23.95 crore on day 4, with 39.09 Tamil occupancy rate.
Captain Miller raked in over ₹ 10 crore on day 3, bringing the two-day weekend total to nearly ₹ 23.95 crore. In Tamil Nadu, the film’s collection was estimated to be around ₹ 15 crore after two days. The film's overseas performance is strong, and the periodic drama is expected to generate more numbers in the coming days.
Post its theatrical run, the film will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The official date for its OTT release has not been unveiled. However, it is expected to be available for streaming by the end of next month.
