​Captain Miller: Uriyadi Vijaykumar is the latest addition to Dhanush's action entertainer

After Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar joined the team of Dhanush's Captain Miller, the latest we hear is that Uriyadi fame Vijaykumar is also part of the star cast. An official announcement about the same is expected soon. Vijay Kumar B is known for his critically acclaimed work Uriyadi (2016) and its sequel Uriyadi 2 (2019).​

The political thriller was not only written and directed by Vijay Kumar, but he also starred as the lead in the film. The plot revolves around four carefree youngsters who get embroiled in a political fight with casteist undertones. How the youngsters battle their predicament and hit back at them forms the story. Vijay Kumar was known as a director to watch out for. The film was so impressive that  Suriya's 2D Entertainment decided to bankroll the sequel to the film.

In the meantime, the shoot for Captain Miller is currently happening in Kutralam and we hear that Vijay Kumar has directly joined the set. The addition of the sensational director has been called a huge boost to the film. The film's director Arun Matheswaran had recently dropped a BTS video in which he gave a glimpse of what was going on in the set and how the art team created it. However, the clip didn't have Dhanush. Captain Miller's star cast includes Dhanush, Sundeep Kishan, Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, John Kokken, Edward Sonnenblick and Vinayakan to name a few.

Dhanush, has been busy promoting his latest outing Vaathi, which has been helmed by Venky Atluri. The film has opened to mixed reviews but Dhanush's performance as an earnest teacher looking to change the corrupt educational system has won the hearts of the audience. The film has Samyuktha as the leading lady and has music by GV Prakash Kumar. Vaathi is Dhanush's maiden release of the year.​
