Randeep Hooda is arguably one of the most underrated actors in the country. While he's spent over two decades in the film industry, we don't get to see him on screen very often. While he appears to be extremely picky when it comes to the kind of projects he takes up, the actor recently opened up about the pressure of being relevant for an artist. He was speaking to TOI on the sidelines of promotions for his recently released web series on Netflix - CAT.

The actor was asked if he still strives to stay relevant after having made a name for himself over the years. Randeep told the publication that it's a very big pressure for an artist to be relevant at all times but that shouldn't affect one's choices as an artist. He further explained that he doesn't really view it as pressure as he's been reinventing himself ever since his very first film, so it doesn't bother him.

"You got to have the thing in you to keep at it. And being honest, I have always tried to reinvent myself because I get bored of myself very easily," the actor was quoted as saying by the publication.

When asked about not being seen on screen as much as he should've been, the actor shared that he likes to stay away because he needs to take the time to do what he does well on screen. "Out of the 22 years that I've been an actor, I've not been on a movie set, even for 11 years. Half of those 22 years, I've been away from the sets. And it has helped me in a good way," he told TOI.

Randeep further shared that he may have made less money but he's been able to get longevity in his career and the love and appreciation that he's received from the audience is what matters to him in the long run.
