Randeep Hooda is gearing up to hit the silver screen in an intense, action packed avatar with his upcoming series, CAT. The makers recently revealed the series’ release date, as well as an intriguing new poster.

The release date announcement was made on Netflix India’s official social media handles. The poster featured a turban clad Hooda with an intense look on his face. The poster also revealed that the film will hit Netflix on December 9, 2022. The post was captioned “We’ve got some purrrrr-fect news! Watch Randeep Hooda as Gurnam in CAT - a gripping tale of brotherhood, espionage and more, releasing on 9th Dec only on Netflix”.

Speaking about the series earlier, Hooda had said that the role had given him the opportunity to explore different facets in his career which he has never explored before. The actor had also added that the simple, yet intriguing script of the show would definitely appeal to a global audience.

Balwinder Singh Janjua has directed and produced the series, and also serves as its showrunner. Rupinder Chahal, and Jimmy Singh are also directors on the show, which they co-wrote with Janjua and Anil Rodhan. Panchali Chakraverty is also a producer on the show.

CAT revolves around the story of a man who becomes entangled in a dangerous conspiracy of drug trafficking and must excape the web of chaos, which has politicians, police and drug lords as its players, before time runs out. The show was bankrolled under the banners of Movie Tunnel Productions and Jelly Bean Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Hooda will next be seen in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, a biographical film based on the life of late Indian politician Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, in which he will essay the titular role. The film also marks Hooda’s debut film as a director as well.
