The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Deepti R Pinniti, a YouTuber based in Bhubaneshwar, who, in various YouTube videos, alleged a cover-up between the Indian and UAE governments regarding the death of legendary Bollywood actress Sridevi. The CBI revealed that Deepti made these claims based on forged documents. Additionally, Deepti, who identified herself as a self-styled investigator, also made sensational assertions concerning the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sridevi passed away in Dubai in February 2018, and Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his room on June 14, 2020.
In December of last year, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at Deepti's residence and confiscated her phones and laptops. The subsequent investigation uncovered that the documents she presented during YouTube discussions, involving the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister, were determined to be "forged," as stated in the CBI's report submitted to a special court. The case was filed by Mumbai-based lawyer Chandni Shah, as reported by Hindustan Times.
This development sweeps in just 20 days before marking the sixth death anniversary of Sridevi. The actress passed away on February 24, 2018.
Sridevi's illustrious career spanned over 50 years, encompassing a diverse array of genres. Recognized for her reserved and introverted off-screen demeanor, she portrayed headstrong and outspoken characters on-screen, often embodying strong-willed women. In recognition of her contributions to Indian cinema, Sridevi was bestowed with the Padma Shri in 2013, one of the country's highest civilian honours.
Sushant Singh Rajput, an Indian actor with a career spanning almost seven years, gained prominence for his contributions to Hindi cinema. He featured in several commercially successful Hindi films, including notable works such as "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story," "Kedarnath," and "Chhichhore."
