CCL 2023 Day #6: Can Manoj Tiwari & Co. confirm a semis spot for the Bhojpuri Dabanggs?

Day #5 of the ongoing Celebrity Cricket League was an action-packed one that brought two interesting results along. On the one hand, Akhil Akkineni's Telugu Warriors were handed their maiden defeat of the tournament as they succumbed to the vigour of the Punjab De Sher. The Sonu Sood-led team beat the Warriors, who were on a hot streak, by 6 wickets to register their first win of CCL 2023. 

In the same vein, the Karnataka Bulldozers, who were placed in the second spot before their game against Chennai Rhinos began, eased through their Rhinos clash and scored their third-straight win in the league. By virtue of this, the Bulldozers are at the top of the points table with a guaranteed semi-finals spot.

And speaking of the semis, the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, who are yet to lose a game in CCL 2023, would look to consolidate and book their own spot in the final four. The Dabanggs, comprising many superstars of the Bhojpuri film industry such as Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Yadav/Nirahua, etc., will face the Bengal Tigers on Day #6 (Sunday, March 5th) of the league in Trivandrum and look to join the Bulldozers from Karnataka in the semi-finals. The Bengal Tigers v/s Bhojpuri Dabanggs game is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. IST.

On the other hand, the Kerala Strikers would want to open their account in the tournament after two back-to-back crushing defeats. The Strikers would hope that the home turf of Trivandrum would come lucky as they battle it out against Mumbai Heroes on Sunday. The Heroes opened their account recently by defeating the Punjab De Sher and should they secure a win against the Strikers, they will move up in the points table in their pursuit of a semi-finals spot.
