The Karnataka Bulldozers have had an incredible season at the Celebrity Cricket League 2023. The team, led by Pradeep Bogadi and his trusted lieutenant Jayaram Karthik, has won all four of its qualifying league matches against team Bengal, Chennai, Kerala and Punjab. The Bulldozers are currently placed at the top of the points table in terms of number of wins and net run rate, with the Bhojpuri Dabanggs a close second, and have qualified for the semi-finals.
The rules of the game now are that the team placed first will meet the fourth-place holder in the first semi-final, while teams 2 and 3 will battle it out in the second game. As such, the Bulldozers will play the Telugu Warriors, while the Bhojpuri Dabanggs will face off against the Mumbai Heroes. Jayaram Karthik, better known in Sandalwood circles as J Karthik or just JK, is quite confident that his team will make it to the final and going by their current form, there is no doubting that, honestly. The team has been displaying brilliant cricketing skills, whether it is to bat, bowl or field and are looking at ensuring that they win this season of the tournament.
During the last league match against Punjab, JK was asked about which team he’d like to play in the final. The actor’s immediate response was that the team that should play the Bulldozers in the final is the Bhojpuri Dabanggs. “They are a fantastic and in-form team, and we have not played against them in a while. So, it would be nice if our team could take them on in the final,” said JK.
The CCL semi-finals, incidentally, were initially scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on March 18 with the finale on March 19, but as per Bulldozers icon Kiccha Sudeep’s latest tweet, it appears the matches have been shifted to Vizag and pushed ahead by a week.
