The Bhojpuri Dabanggs, who had their Celebrity Cricket League best result last year when they returned home as runner-up, after conceding victory to the Telugu Warriors, have their second match of the 2024 10thedition of the tournament today. In this group stage match, the Bhojpuri Dabanggs take on the Chennai Rhinos at 2 pm at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The Bhojpuri Dabanggs have played 6 editions of the Celebrity Cricket League since making their debut in 2013, making it to semi-final stage thrice, 2014, 2016 and 2019, the first two being years in which the Rhinos did not make it past the group stage. The Rhinos were not a part of the 2019 T10 tournament. In the time since 2013, the Dabanggs and the Rhinos have played each other 3 times and each time, the former emerged victorious. As such, the Dabanggs have a 3-0 advantage as they head into today’s match.

The Dabanggs did not have a great start to the tournament and will look at notching up a victory and keeping their hopes alive in the tournament. In what was a repeat of last year’s final, their first group stage match was against the Telugu Warrios, which they lost. On the other hand, the Chennai Rhinos had a relatively easy encounter, taking on novices Punjab De Sher, whom they trounced comfortably. The Rhinos, as such, have a points table advantage going into this second group stage match.
Both the Dabanggs and Rhinos get a rest day on March 2, before then taking on the Mumbai Heroes and the Karnataka Bulldozers in their respective third matches on March 3.
