Last Updated: 05.03 PM, Feb 28, 2025
As CCL 2025 heads into finale week, the top 4 teams will be in Mysuru for the semi-finals and the final. The order of play is that the top team plays the one in 4th place, while 2nd and 3rd spot teams play each other. As such, the defending champions, Bengal Tigers will play Punjab De Sher, while the Karnataka Bulldozers are up against the Chennai Rhinos.
The Karnataka Bulldozers and Chennai Rhinos have a long history of playing each other in the Celebrity Cricket League. And they are pitted against each yet again in the second semi-final of CCL 2025 on March 1, in Mysuru. This year, the Bulldozers have a slight advantage, having beaten the Rhinos in the group stage, but the latter has, in the past, turned the tables on Kiccha Sudeep’s team after a similar early result in the tournament.

Ahead of their match on March 1, the Karnataka Bulldozers and Chennai Rhinos are almost evenly poised at 5:4 as far as head-to-head encounters go. This does not include a match that was abandoned and another that was tied. In the initial years, the Rhinos had the upper hand, but since the pandemic, the Bulldozers have consistently beaten them in all their encounters.
After winning the first two editions of the Celebrity Cricket League in 2011 and 2012, the Chennai Rhinos have played only 1 other final, in 2015. Last year, they’d made it to the play-offs, but were eliminated. On the other hand, the Karnataka Bulldozers have played 7 of the last 10 finals, winning twice. The prediction is that the Karnataka Bulldozers will advance to the final on March 2, since the match is happening in Mysuru.
The official broadcast partner of CCL 2025 is Sony Sports Ten 3, while the streaming partner is JioHotstar. The Karnataka Bulldozers vs Chennai Rhinos match is scheduled for 6.30 pm on March 1. There are only 3 more matches in the 11th edition of the tournament - 2 semi-finals on March 1 and the final on March 2.
