On the occassion of Unni Mukundan's birthday today (September 22), the owners of Kerala Strikers have confirmed that the actor would lead the team in the upcoming 12th Season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

Co-owner of the Kerala Strikers team, Rajkumar Sethupathy, made the announcement while highlighting that Unni is not only one of the most popular actors in Malayalam but also a gifted cricket player with an in-depth understanding of the sport. His guidance will give everyone involved new vitality and focus, he added.

The training camp for the Kerala Strikers will be held by mid-October. The management will reveal the final list of players after this camp. More updates on this are expected in the coming days.
