CCL2026: As action shifts to Coimbatore, here’s the schedule of the second leg of group stage matches
CCL 2026 kicked off on January 16 in Vizag, with 6 matches over 3 days, and 2 teams already knocked out of the tournament. The rest of the matches will be played between January 23 and 25.

Season 12 of the Celebrity Cricket League saw the 8 teams – Punjab De Sher, Mumbai Heroes, Bengal Tigers, Telugu Warriors, Vels Chennai Kings, Karnataka Bulldozers, Bhojpuri Dabanggs and Kerala Strikers – head to Vizag for the first set of 6 group stage matches in Vizag, over the weekend of January 16 to 18.
What happened in week 1 of CCL 2026?
Two teams, reigning champs Punjab De Sher and the Mumbai Heroes, have already been knocked out of the league, having lost 2 of their 3 group-stage matches each. For 4-time champions Telugu Warriors, their last group match will decide if they remain in the tournament, as they have lost one and won another so far. The Chennai Kings will need to win the next two, having lost their opener.
This time around, the league has been cut short, with each team playing 3 and not 4 matches to decide the top 4 who will head to the semis. So, the next weekend, when the action shifts to the SNR College Cricket Stadium, Coimbatore, the fate of the other 6 teams will be decided. There are 6 matches scheduled again, which can be streamed live on JioHotstar (via OTTplay Premium as well).

The top 4 teams will then head to Hyderabad for the semi-finals. This will be decided based on points and net run-rate. Given that the playing format has reverted to regular T20 from the earlier Test format of 4 innings of 10 overs each, teams have been aiming for high scoring matches and big margins in their victories.
