The results of Day 1 of Week 3 in Surat were almost unexpected. First up, the Chennai Rhinos beat the Bhojpuri Dabanggs, registering their second win of the tournament. This was followed by the shock defeat of the Karnataka Bulldozers at the hands of Punjab De Sher. Harrdy Sandhu’s team has one more encounter pending, and will be in high spirits now that they’ve won 2 of their 3 matches. As of now, the Bulldozers and Bengal Tigers are at the top of the table, but the rest is still in a flux, what with the net run-rate to decide who will make it to the semis on March 1.

CCL 2025 match schedule of February 23 in Surat

4-time champions Telugu Warriors are staring at the possibility of being knocked out in the group stage, with only 1 win to their credit after 3 matches. They are up against defending champions Bengal Tigers in the first match of February 23. Jisshu Sengupta’s team began their title defence with 3 back-to-back victories and will aim to keep up that unbeaten record as they head into the semis on March 1. The Warriors are a very competitive team, though, and will do all it takes to notch up one more victory and with a good margin. The match that starts at 2 pm will be quite explosive.

The second and final match of the group league will have Harrdy Sandhu’s Punjab De Sher back in action yet again, less than 24 hours after their victorious match against the Karnataka Bulldozers. This time, they will play the Saqib Saleem-led Mumbai Heroes, who are out of the tournament already, having lost all of their matches so far. They would want a consolation win to avoid a complete rout. The match is expected to begin at 6.30 pm and if the first day’s proceedings in Surat are anything to go by, it may not be as delayed as the Hyderabad and Cuttack Week, when second matches finished well past midnight.
