It was nothing short of a starry evening when celebrities across the Tollywood industry gathered at celebrity designer Abhisek Roy’s studio to celebrate Akshay Tritiya recently. He hosted a gorgeous Ganesha Puja and his friend, makeup artist Abhijit Chanda, was the pundit of the show.

“Like thousands of Bengali business people, I also start my book on Akshaya Tritiya. But for me, this day is more than just a puja. Way before Ganesh Chaturthi became popular in Bengal, it was this day when Bengalis used to celebrate Ganesh Puja. For me, this is the day to celebrate Bengaliness. I curate traditional Bengali food on this day. Besides, the decoration, the new calendar, the ledger book – everything gets a Bengali touch,” said Abhisek.
