Chaaver OTT release date: When, where to stream Kunchacko Boban, Arjun Ashokan’s political action-drama

Malayalam actor Kunchacko Boban’s latest political action-drama, Chaaver, which is helmed by Ajagajantharam director Tinu Pappachan, is all set to begin streaming on an OTT platform.

Kunchacko Boban took to his social media page on Thursday to share that Chaaver will begin streaming on SonyLIV from November 24. The movie, which is scripted by Joy Mathew and also has Arjun Ashokan, Manoj KU and Antony Varghese as part of the cast, hit theatres on October 5.

Reasons to stream Kunchacko Boban’s Chaaver on Sony LIV

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Kunchacko opened up about how the movie had tested him physically because it’s not a role that he had previously played. For the audience too, this would be the key reason for watching the political drama, which is realistic and deals with relevant issues.

Tinu, who had previously directed thrillers such as Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil and Ajagajantharam, has kept action sequences to a minimum in Chaaver but has heightened its intensity. “The movie also has an underlying layer of human emotions that are conceived in a serious yet thrilling pattern,” Kunchacko had earlier told us.

While the pace of the film was one of the grouses, along with the complex writing after its theatrical releases, its visuals were praised by the critics. The movie, which is also partly a journey, is shot extensively in Kannur and other locations in Tamil Nadu. The climax sequence of the movie, an action sequence, is also one of its highlights.

Chaaver lets the audience into the lives of political henchmen and how they often become scapegoats in the larger scheme of things. It follows a gang of men who flee after a political murder and the consequences they have to face for their actions.

Chaaver to stream in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu?

While Kunchacko Boban’s post clearly mentions that the movie will stream in Malayalam on Sony LIV from November 24, neither the OTT platform nor the makers have yet confirmed if the dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi will also be available. But given that the previous Malayalam films had these versions too, it’s likely that Chaaver will also be available in multiple other languages.
