Big Ben Cinemas, the production house that gave us Pelli Choopulu, has formally begun work on its sixth production. The film will be headlined by 30 Weds 21 fame Chaitanya Rao, Lavanya in the lead roles . The untitled film is directed by ’O Pitta Katha' fame Chendu Muddu. The muhurat ceremony of the project was held earlier this week amidst several dignitaries from the industry

While popular producer Suresh Babu clapped for the first shoot, filmmaker Tharun Bhascker had switched on the camera. The first shot was directed by Ante Sundaraniki filmmaker Vivek Athreya. Madhura Sreedhar Reddy, Sandeep Raj, Sai Rajesh, Lakshmi Bhupal were among other guests who graced the event held at Ramanaidu Studio.

Yash Rangineni, the brain behind Big Ben Cinemas, expressed his happiness on commencing his sixth production on the sixth anniversary of Pelli Choopulu’s release. “I thank everyone who has graced the event to convey their best wishes to the team. The film unfolds amidst a village backdrop and we've cast many new talents. Story will be the crowd pulling factor of this film.”

The principal shoot of the film will commence on August 1 and the schedule will go on at Amalapuram and Araku for a month. The later schedule, to be held in Kerala, will kickstart in September. They plan to have the first copy ready by October. Chaitanya Rao added that he liked the director’s earlier film O Pitta Katha and instantly said yes to this film.

“I am confident that this will be the first blockbuster in my career. I loved the story and I’m sure of meeting you all again for its success meet,” the actor exuded optimism. The lead actress Lavanya opined that the village story has adequate commercial elements to work at the box office and said she had an interesting character it.”I’m sure this will be an exciting flick from him.”

The film will have experimental screenplay and we have a young team working with us, director Chendu Muddu mentioned and was sure of its box office prospects. Mihira, Uttara, Raghava, Aditya too play key roles in the film. Pankaj Tottada is the cinematographer while Prince Henry is the composer. D Venkat Prabhu is the editor.
