After a three-year hiatus, Anushka Sharma will return to acting with Chakda Xpress, a sports drama based on former women's Indian cricket team captain Jhulan Goswami.

The actress will play the real-life figure in this Netflix movie, which is backed by Clean Slate Filmz, the production house she founded with her brother Karnesh Ssharma. Clearly, a lot is required to bring authenticity to screen, and one of the ways Anushka is doing her bit is by acing the game of cricket. She shared a behind-the-scenes reel where she hits the cricket nets for some training.

Under the sun, Anushka can be seen bowling, running around and taking a quick break by sipping on an energy drink. "That's how the last few days have been!" she wrote in the caption,

Here's the reel:

Anushka has been prepping for the role for a while now. In February, she had shared a glimpse of herself bowling at the nets. Earlier this month, the actor had shared a sweaty, red-faced selfie of herself post-practice.

Her first look as Jhulan was released by Netflix in January and was also shared by the cricketer on social media.

The logline shared by Netflix says Chakda Xpress will tell Jhulan's success story of how she "moves up the ladder despite the hindrances posed by misogynistic politics to fulfil her dream of playing cricket for India." The cricketer has the world record for the highest number of wickets taken by a woman in an international career.

Chakda Xpress is directed by Prosit Roy, who has previously co-directed Clean Slatez' backed Amazon Prime series Paatal Lok with Avinash Arun and has directed Anushka in the horror thriller Pari.

A release date for Chakda Xpress is yet to be announced.
