Kaatera also stars debutant Radhana Ram, Kumar Govind and others
Fans of Challenging Star Darshan are keenly looking forward to the release of Kaatera, a film that has the 46-year-old actor in a never-before-seen getup. Kaatera would be Darshan's third collaboration with Tharun Kishore Sudhir and while their previous project together presented the DBoss in a macho avatar, the upcoming film will take us back in time to the 1970s.
Darshan, as revealed by the first-look poster, will be seen playing a vibrant character in the period action entertainer, wherein right from his wardrobe to his demeanour have gone through a stark change. He will be joined by debutant Radhana Ram (daughter of late film producer Ramu & '90s superstar Malashree) who plays a 'multidimensional' character named Prabhavathi, with '90s actor Kumar Govind, too, playing a key role.
And according to the latest reports, team Kaatera has hit the strides after a short break and is back on the Bengaluru sets. A still of Darshan back in his rustic avatar is now circulating on social media, with reports claiming that the makers are likely to move to Chennai for the next schedule.
But what's interesting is that the reports also state that Kaatera, in all likelihood, will arrive in cinemas in 2023, making it the second theatrical release of the year for Darshan. He began the year with V. Harikrishna's commercial entertainer Kranti which released on January 26 and despite all the hype that surrounded that release, the film was unable to yield the expected results at the box office. Fans, thereby, are of the opinion that Kaatera will be the project that will bring things back on track for the Challenging Star.
Alongside, Darshan was in the news recently for more endearing reasons when his 'bromance' with fellow superstar Yash went viral on social media. The two stars were seen dancing the night away at the Abishek Ambareesh and Aviva Bidapa Sangeeth party, and the internet came alive at those rare sights.
