Challenging Star Darshan's 46th birthday becomes a huge fan-studded affair on Bengaluru streets

For Challenging Star Darshan and his fans, the past couple of months have been incredibly interesting and eventful, to say the least. The Kranti pre-release promotions would bring the superstar actor into the thick of all the activity and also cause him to hit the headlines for all sorts of reasons for a considerably long period. Each time Darshan made a public appearance, controversy brewed on the side and things remained so even after the film was released and made news for a different set of reasons.

So, quite naturally, his 46th birthday, which is being celebrated today, February 16th, was going to be special. On the one hand, the day carried a very important update in the form of a title-reveal of Darshan's next and fans' collective excitement, as expected, was unbounded. Thousands of them would throng the streets of Bengaluru, near Darshan's residence, to catch a glimpse of their beloved star and also participate in the title launch event on February 16th.

On the other hand, the same event also promised fans a golden opportunity to come face-to-face with the actor and meet him on his very special day. Darshan, who has time and again professed his love for his fans or 'celebrities', too, gladly obliged the request and made a gracious presence outside his house to briefly meet and interact with them. Surrounded by his entourage and security, Darshan stretched out his arm and shook his hand with a barrage of fans who, quite evidently, were overjoyed about getting to see him from very close proximity. Some would try to embrace him, some attempted to pounce on him out of love and a few even tried to pull his cheeks but Darshan's magnanimity ensured that none of them was pulled up or punished.

Such was the hysteria that a YouTube video reveals Darshan squirming in pain because of the hand-shaking but the Kaatera actor refused to stop or call it a night. And although he did eventually retire for the night, he made a prompt return the next morning to resume his endearing interaction with fans. Safe to say that it was an emotional outpour with fans missing out on this opportunity a few times recently due to the pandemic, the turnout certainly seems bigger and better!
