Chanchal Chowdhury meets Anjan Dutt at Dhaka airport

It was Mrinal Sen’s birth centenary last year and Anjan Dutt and Chanchal Chowdhury are somehow got connected with Mrinal Sen deeply. Both are fans of each other. They have been in contact, but met for the first time, suddenly in Dhaka International Airport. Later, Chanchal Chowdhury shared his experience of meeting Anjan.

Chanchal shared his photo with Anjan Dutta on social media on Wednesday. He wrote, “Met my favourite actor Anjan Dutt at Dhaka Airport. I met him for the first time, but he embraced me so cordially with love and affection! Previously, we talked several times over the phone. There were talks about some projects where we would work together, but they did not happen.”

Chanchal also mentioned that Anjan Dutt inspired him at a young age. He wrote, “During our college and university days, he was one of the singers who went to the peak of popularity with songs of the new age. I am also amazed by his acting and filmmaking abilities.”

However, the photo was clicked probably a few days back. Anjan Dutt is right now in Kolkata busy with his upcoming film Chalchitra Ekhon. The film was awarded in Dhaka International Film Festival. The fans are assuming that the photo was taken at that time.

It was Mrinal Sen’s birth centenary last year and several directors have made tribute films for the great director. Anjan, who considers Mrinal as his mentor, made a film, Chalchitra Ekhon. The film will see a theatrical and OTT release on May 10. Meanwhile, Chanchal plays the character of Mrinal Sen in Srijit Mukherji’s tribute, Padatik.
