Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury has gained momentous popularity in West Bengal after the release of his web series Karagar on Hoichoi. His first Indian film, Goutam Ghosh’s Moner Manush, is a favorite among Bangladeshis. After 2018, he again set foot in Tollywood. He will be seen as Mrinal Sen in Srijit Mukherji’s directorial, Padatik. His perfect Mrinal Sen- look stunned the audience. The shooting was completed a couple of months ago and his Indian fans are eager to see him in more films. Though the actor did not comment on anything, according to Tollywood sources, he will act in several films here.

Chanchal may collaborate with Dostojee-director Prasun Chatterjee in his forthcoming film. Prasun hinted at that on social media. The director and Chanchal went to a cultural convention in the US and later posted a photo together. Prasun shared the photo and posted a cryptic message that something good is going to happen. However, Prasun did not divulge any more. It was recently heard that Chanchal will be the cover face of the upcoming series by Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay, who is bringing back Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay's Gana Debata as a series. Kamaleswar will also base his series on Gana Debata sequel, Panchagram. Ganadebeta was previously made as a film by Tarun Majumder. In that film, Soumitra Chatterjee played Debu Pandit. Chanchal will now play this role. However, the director said that the talks are in the initial stage.

Another source said that, for the next film of producer Firdausul Hasan, Chanchal might come to India. Firdausul Hasan's Friends Communication produced Padatik also. However, nothing about the next film, the theme, or the director, is known. Chanchal is also being considered for a musical in Tollywood. Initial talks have been done, according to the sources.
