Chandramukhi 2: This is how much Kangana Ranaut was paid for the P Vasu film

Chandramukhi 2 is a film that a lot of money was riding on as the film was the second part of the Chandramukhi franchise. P Vasu directed this film which was helmed by Lyca Production on a massive note. Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut played lead roles in this film which had music by MM Keeravani. 

Chandramukhi 2 was released on September 28, 2023, to take advantage of a long weekend. For Kangana Ranaut, Chandramukhi 2 was a big deal as she was jumping into the shoes of Jyothika who played the evil spirit in Chandramukhi. 

So much money was riding on her as the makers ignored all the southern heroines and banked on Kangana. Even after the shoot started, the heroine was not locked. Kangana demanded big bucks for this film and only when the makers agreed she signed the dotted line.

Well, we have come to know that Kangana Ranaut has been paid a whopping Rs 5 crores for the film. This is the highest ever for Kangana in the South as she was paid only three crores for Thalaivi, her debut Tamil film. Kangana did a decent job in her role but sadly the film opened to very dull reviews from the critics and audience alike in all its areas of release.

Coming to the box office numbers, Chandramukhi 2 has failed to entertain the audience and the collections in the Telugu states are very disappointing. The fantasy drama made only 3.5 crores in the first four days of its release. 

Today, being a holiday for Gandhi Jayanthi, the occupancy was very low and by the looks of it, the makers will lose money by the end of the film's run. Watch this space to learn more about this film.
