Ester Noronha, who made a mark in Telugu cinema with 1000 Abaddalu, Bhimavaram Bullodu, Garam, forayed into the OTT space with ZEE5’s rural thriller Recce last year. Besides acting, she is now wielding the megaphone and turning a composer for a film titled The Vacant House. The project is bankrolled by Ester’s mother Janet Noronha (under a banner named after her)

The Vacant House, which is gearing up for a theatrical release soon, is a suspense thriller that’s simultaneously made in Kannada and Konkani and will be dubbed in other languages including Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil. The makers are viewing it as a pan-Indian film and believe it has a universally appealing narrative that’ll keep the viewers glued to their seats.

After winning critical acclaim with the Telugu drama 69 Sanskar Colony recenrly and associating with projects in other languages - Kantaar, Shakeela and Lanke - to name a few, Ester has made a mark as an actress, singer as well. She has also written the dialogues, lyrics and composed the background score for The Vacant House. Janet Noronha had earlier produced a film titled Sophiya - A Dream Girl.

The actress had also won the Karnataka State award for Sophiya and she’s now leaving no stone unturned to ensure a grand release for The Vacant House. Narender Goud cranks the camera for the film which is edited by Vijay Raj. In addition, her crime comedy, Changure Bangaru Raja, produced by Ravi Teja under RT Team Works, is releasing in theatres on September 15.

Cast as a middle-aged woman who falls in love, she plays one of the many key roles in Changure Bangaru Raja, where she’s paired opposite Ravi Babu. Headlined by Karthik Rathnam, the film, directed by debutant Satish Varma, also stars Satya, Nityasri, Vasu Inturi, Ajay, Goldie Nissy. The crime comedy’s promos have made the right noises prior to its release tomorrow.
