Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A was the calm before the storm, we’ve been told, as Side B preps for its date with audiences on November 17. After the more calm and serene blue palette of Side A, Side B gets turbulent and red, which will not only reflect in the more violent and despair-riddled narrative, but in the music as well. Filmmaker Hemanth M Rao gave viewers a preview of what’s in store in the trailer of Side B, which came out days ago, and that featured what seemed like a very different version of what was in the initial title credits of Side A.

The original version, composed by Charan Raj and sung by Kapil Kapilan in all the language versions, was a runaway hit and easily one of the best tracks of the album. The use of synthwave mixed with the strains of a veena were widely appreciated and several audiences took to social media about the song being on loop on their music lists.

The Side B version is out now and boy has Charan turned it around. Given that the story of Side B captures the despair and anguish that protagonist Manu (Rakshit Shetty) goes through after his release from jail, the title track has also been designed to capture these emotions. This time he’s presented a hard rock number sung by Karthik Chennoji Rao, whose powerful vocals encapsulate Manu’s pain beautifully.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, which tells the story of what happens to Manu (Rakshit Shetty) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth) 10 years after the events of Side A, is getting a simultaneous release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam on November 17. Chaithra J Achar joins the cast, which also includes Achyuth Kumar, Ramesh Indira, Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Yamuna Srinidhi, among others.
