Kiccha Sudeep’s nephew, Sanchith Sanjeev’s long-awaited big screen debut is only a month and a half away from its theatrical outing. The young actor, who’d initially planned to direct and act in his first film, put that aside for the time being, and then collaborated with debutant Viveka on a film set in 90s Mysuru that Sudeep’s wife Priya backed. Called Mango Pachcha, the film is a Sankranti 2026 presentation, set to be in theatres on January 15, 2026.

Hasravva developed from folk song Eechala Mara

While the team had released a couple of teasers earlier, promotions have kickstarted with the first single, Hasravva, which came out a few days ago. Composer Charan Raj had sung the song, along with Mohan Kumar N, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Charan, of course, is immensely happy that audiences have liked the song. “Generally, a song turns out well, because of the vision that the director has for the music. That’s the case with Mango Pachcha too. The spark from the song came from Viveka, who wanted to develop it based on the folk number Eechala Mara,” explained Charan, in conversation with Zee Kannada.

While the basic idea came from this folk song, Charan worked the orchestration around to suit the film. The music man adds that while working on Hasravva he was also inspired by the story, and leading man Sanchith’s screen presence and performance. “It’s a great opportunity for me to work with a team like that,” says Charan, adding that he’s still working on the music of the film. The album of Mango Pachcha will have 5 songs in total, he says, which will span across a variety of genres. “We are in the process of finishing the background score and the songs and by the time we are done, the number of songs could increase. But there will be 5 at least,” Charan adds.
