Charli XCX, who was formally named Charlotte Emma Aitchison, is engaged to her boyfriend drummer and music producer George Daniel. The Break The Rules singer shared the happy news on her private Instagram first, later posting an adorable update on her public profile on Tuesday, November 28.

Captioned, “Charli XCX and George Daniel f**king for life!!!” the post features three photos. The first photo showed the drummer dipping his lady love for a kiss while their dog quizzically joined them. The second picture revealed the manner of George Daniel’s romantic proposal.

A wooden tray bore two cups of black tea, along with some flowers, a candle, and a beautiful jewelry box with a stunning solitaire in it. The third pic was a goofy, intimate one, portraying the comfort in the two musical artist’s relationship as Charli lay on her drummer would-be hubby’s lap, while he dozed on a cozy chair.

Several celebrities and musicians, as well as fans have reacted and congratulated the happy couple. George Daniel’s The 1975 bandmate Matt Healy wrote, “I cry,” while Dua Lipa commented, “aaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!! LOVE THIS!!!! Congratulations.”

Amelia Dimoldenberg wrote, “yay!!!” with a ring sign, while Paris Hildon commented love-eyed emojis. Addison Rae declared, “IM SCREAMING,” while Rita Ora gave her blessing, “How did I just know this was gonna happen. Yessss,” along with a string of emojis.

The two have worked together on songs like their remix of Caroline Polachek’s Welcome to My Island, Hot Girl (from the film Bodies Bodies Bodies), Selfish Girl, and How Can I Not Know What I Need Right Now.
