Chatha Pacha: Arjun Ashokan-Roshan Mathew’s movie to begin shooting in Fort Kochi on this date

Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies will be a standout film as it marks the Malayalam debut of the Bollywood musician trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy. Arjun Ashokan and Kankhajura actor Roshan Mathew star in the upcoming Malayalam film, which promises to be an action spectacle. In the latest update, reports have said that Chatha Pacha will start shooting in Fort Kochi next week.

Adhvaith Nayar is directing this film, which follows a bunch of youngsters as they set up a wrestling club in Fort Kochi. The Chatha Pacha filming is scheduled to start on June 10, 2025, in Fort Kochi, Asianet News has reported.

Arjun Ashokan leads this film, along with Roshan Mathew, Vishak Nair and Ishan Shoukath, who played the blind Victor in Unni Mukundan's Marco.

Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies was officially announced with a poster in March 2025, that promised WWE-inspired action spectacle. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy’s Malayalam entry is another reason that makes the project more exciting and much-awaited. The recording for the film's songs were held in Mumbai recently. Vinayak Sasikumar is the lyricist, Chandru Selvaraj handles cinematography Praveen Prabhakar has been roped in for editing.

With a vibrant young lead cast and veteran musicians on board, Chatha Pacha promises to bring in a new flavours in storytelling and cinematic experience.

Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew’s other projects

Arjun Ashokan, who made a short appearance in Mohanlal’s Thudarum recently, last starred in Bromance along with Mathew Thomas. Mahima Nambiar, and Premalu actors Shyam Mohan and Sangeeth Prathap are also part of this film, which is streaming on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium. His upcoming films include Sumathi Valavu.

On the other hand, Roshan Mathew starred in the Hindi series Kankhajura, which started streaming on May 30, 2025, on SonyLiv and OTTplay Premium. His next Malayalam film is Ronth, co-starring Dileesh Pothan. The film, helmed by Shahi Kabir, will hit theatres on June 13, 2025.
