Chatrapathi failure: Pen Studios call off three film deal with Bellamkonda Sreenivas

Bellamkonda Sreenivas is a popular actor in Telugu. So far, he has worked with only A-list heroines in his career. With Chatrapathi, he made his Hindi debut as well. The film was released last week and only made one crore in its entire theatrical run proving the fact that the film is an epic disaster.

Pen Studios inked a three-film deal with Bellamkonda Sreenivas and their first project is Chatrapthi. Now, we have come to know that the banner has called off their three film deal with the hero seeing the poor response to his film. The word is also that Bellamkonda has decided to concentrate on Telugu cinema and stay away from Bollywood as of now.

He has now signed a film with Saagar Chandra, who made Bheemla Nayak with Pawan Kalyan recently. The bad result of Chatrapathi has forced the young actor to get back to Telugu cinema where he has a decent following and a good backing from his producer dad Bellamkonda Suresh.

Pen Studios had released Chatrapathi on its own across the country. By looking at the collection, one can easily understand how badly the film has fared. But Pen Studios have sold the digital and satellite rights of the film to Zee 4 for a whopping 50 crores, they will not lose that much money. We need to see what kind of a film the young hero does now.
