The first-look poster of School, the upcoming film starring actor-comedian Yogi Babu, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. The film’s poster was released for the occasion of the inaugural ceremony that took place on Wednesday.
Besides Yogi Babu, the film also stars Bhumika Chawla and veteran filmmaker-turned-actor KS Ravikumar in the lead roles. The film is written and directed by RK Vidhyaadharan.
The first-look poster shows the faces of the lead actors, Yogi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, KS Ravikumar on what looks like burning pieces of paper. As these papers float on air, we also get to see a book fractured by an axe below, with a bookshelf serving as a backdrop. “A deep psychological movie” says the tagline of the film. The film’s title appears on top of the poster with a shattered blood mark. Going by the looks of the poster, School is expected to be an intense psychological thriller drama.
School is written and directed by RK Vidhyaadharan, who will also be serving as the producer along with K Manju. The technical crew consists of Aathithya Govindraj as the cinematographer, Raghava URS as the editor, and Vijay Iyapan handling the art direction. A release date for School is yet to be announced.
The comedian-turned-actor was last seen alongside Sivakarthikeyan’s science fiction comedy Ayalaan. Yogi Babu, one of the busiest actors in Tamil industry, has got various projects in the pipeline. The actor will be seen sharing screen space with Suriya in Kanguva, in Chimbu Devan film titled Boat, Aranmanai 4, Boomer Uncle, and Andhagan which are at various stages of production.
The comedian will also be making his Malayalam debut with Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil which features Prithiviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles. The film is directed by Vipin Das who made the critically acclaimed and commercial success Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey starring Darshana Rajendran and Basil.
